Extensive Legal Research

St. Louis police officers, who took the tickets to the World Series from scalpers and then used them for friends and family, really don’t want the public to know who they are. They are fighting, tooth and nail, to keep those records private.
Jennifer Joyce, the prosecuting attorney for St. Louis City, isn’t a party to that fight. But back when that scandal broke, her office declined to press charges. At the time, she said that even after "extensive legal research," her office couldn’t find any Missouri statute that had been violated.
Here at RSRG, we are no slouches in the realm of legal research. We like to think that we have a bit of expertise in that area. And we located a couple of crimes that might fit the bill. Crimes like "stealing," and "receiving stolen property." Those crimes might work.
Just saying.
