St. Louis Area
Carmody MacDonald P.C. announces that Brian C. Behrens and David P. Stoeberl have joined the firm as principals. Mr. Behrens concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, growth and venture companies, and corporate finance. Mr. Stoeberl concentrates his practice in commercial disputes, real estate/zoning and land use matters, bankruptcy, products liability/toxic torts and telecommunications.
R. Seth Crompton and Katherine J. Kimker have joined the St. Louis office of Rabbitt, Pitzer & Snodgrass, P.C. as associates. Mr. Crompton joins the firm’s products liability group and will focus in the areas of general litigation defense and personal injury defense. Ms. Kimker joins the firm’s construction/architect professional liability group and will focus in the areas of design professional liability defense, including architects, engineers, and land surveyors.
N. Scott Rosenblum, a partner in Rosenblum, Schwartz, Rogers & Glass P.C., has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Membership in the College cannot exceed one per cent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. Mr. Rosenblum has been practicing in St. Louis for 23 years.
Kansas City Area
The Lee’s Summit law firm of Haynes Benefits, P.C. announces that Christine Young-Terpening joined the firm on April 16. Her scope of practice includes plan design and legal compliance for qualified retirement plans and health and welfare plans, as well as administration and interpretation of health care and privacy legislation.
Lathrop & Gage attorney Jerome V. Bales has helped edit Design Professional and Construction Manager Law, a publication of the Construction Forum of the American Bar Association that addresses these two roles in the industry. Mr. Bales has more than 30 years of experience handling many of the issues addressed in the book.
Scott B. Haines, senior associate with Martin, Pringle, Oliver, Wallace, Bauer LLP; Daniel C. Hall of Aldridge and Hall; and the law firm of Hubbard & Kurtz, LLP will be the recipients of the 2007 Robert C. Welch Volunteer Attorney Project Award. The awards will be presented during the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association’s Bench-Bar & Boardroom Conference at the Tan-Tar-A Resort, Lake of the Ozarks on Thursday, May 3, 2007.

Professor John Mollenkamp with the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law has been appointed an associate clinical professor at the Cornell Law School in Ithaca, New York, to begin in the Fall of 2007.
